3rd Force Recon Company 1969/70

 In Jan. '68 I think I arrived in Quang Tri (hdqtrs.btn.?)& was sent to 1st 8 inch howitzer bttry.

(I had had F.O. training in 29 palms,Cal.),in Dong Ha (hdqtrs.bttry) then to Cam Lo Hill with an 8" gun& FDC.. other guys came in to form a team that stayed with 1st.8" & we were picked up at the fire base & inserted for various missions(adjusting fire) & some other "H & I" (harrasement & interdiction) missions-then extracted & returned to the fire base between missions -then other fire bases with an 8" gun (Con Tien ,Khe Sanh, (LZ Hotel)& I think the Rockpile)...

I just had my leg amputated(agent orange-diabetic skin ulcer]....I don't know about anyone else...but I'm having a DIFFICULT time trying to get my records!. While in Khe Sanh, I took shrapnel twice & was treated at Charlie Med & ended up going to Camp Haigh for therapy (& embarkation training) . then returned to 1st 8" hdqtrs. in Dong Ha-then Fox 2/12 to await a flght date to the states..NOW they can't find the records  I!!!  I remember in '68 it as being 3rd Force Recon(I trained in Pendleton,Cal. before being sent to 29 Palms then 'Nam)...Blah Blah Blah -I MADE IT !!
